Emilio Lopez, otherwise known by the pseudonym punkmango, is a digital illustrator creating anime-inspired works. He first began drawing in 2014 at 11 years old in anticipation for the soon-to-be-released Star Wars Episode VII. However, it wasn’t until a year later that his obsession with Sui Ishida’s illustrations for Tokyo Ghoul provided a true mastery to aspire to.

Over the years those skills developed, until a second wave of inspiration took him fully on. Thanks to his recent fascination for Eiichiro Oda’s “ONE PIECE,” he has delved fully into the world of fanart and digital rendering. He has aspirations to develop original apparel and especially trading cards accessories through his art.

When he’s not drawing an absurd amount of Perona fanart, Emilio enjoys playing the One Piece Trading Card Game, watching anime with his friends, playing piano, and creating unique outfits.

During high school, he was awarded the title “AP Scholar With Distinction” by the College Board. As a speech and debate competitor, he regularly competed at the regional and national level. Most recently, he graduated the University of South Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology.
